I’ve actually worked in healthcare since I was nineteen.
I loved it so much that even after earning by Business Management + Marketing degree; I went back.
Working in healthcare; regardless of what position you hold, you learn SO much. Here are the healthcare fields I’ve worked in:
- Obstetrics & Gynecology: I still work here actually. My first healthcare job and after everything, I came back. I also helped open a women’s urgent care for the practice. It was my first baby.
- Emergency Medicine: I worked in the emergency room for a bit. I learned SO much here. I was also CPR/AED trained for this position.
- Cardiology ICU: This was a tough job honestly. It took an emotional toll but I really did learn so much.
- Plastics + Med Spa: There were amazing perks to this job lol
- Hand Surgery: who knew the hands were so complex?
- General Surgery: THIS was a really cool place to work. I learned what a cholecystectomy was (it’s a gallbladder removal).
- Bariatric Surgery: I never knew how much went into getting bariatric surgery. Whoever says it’s the easy way out just has no idea.
- Urgent Care: during COVID…
